FLAPJACK
This recipe uses only four ingredients in simple amounts meaning that it is so quick and easy to remember but this doesn't take away from the great taste! You can jazz this recipe up by adding a twist such as dipping in chocolate or adding sultanas (to fool yourself into thinking it's healthy because it contains fruit!).
Ingredients
125g light brown sugar
125g softened butter
250g oats
3 tbsp golden syrup
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180C
2. Grease and line a small tin, I used a 23cm square one but the size depends on the thickness of the flapjack
3. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl with either a wooden spoon or your hands (weirdly I love the feel of this mixture!)
4. Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin, smooth over with the back of a spoon and press into all corners
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown
6. Leave to cool then slice into 12 squares and enjoy
