CHOCOLATE ORANGE MOUSSE
I love chooclate mousse! It's such a simple dessert and is lovely and light after a large Christmassy meal. The addition of orange to this recipe makes it extra festive and great for lovers of Terry's chocolate orange, which makes a lovely decoration for the top!
Ingredients- makes 4 portions
150g dark chocolate
75ml orange juice
3 eggs
Method
1. Separate the egg whites and yolks
2. Melt the chocolate using short bursts in a microwave then leave to cool
3. Whisk the egg whites until they are white and fluffy peaks
4. Beat the egg yolks and then add to the melted chocolate and stir to combine
5. Add the orange juice to the chocolate mix and stir until smooth
6. Gently fold in the egg whites until fully combined and air bubbles are visible. Avoid beating as this will knock the air out and won't create a light mousse.
7. Spoon into ramekins or bowls and chill in the fridge for at least two hours
8. Top with grated orange zest and a segment of Terry's chocolate orange
